Indooroopilly Junior Golf Program – Train Phase
At Indooroopilly Golf Club our goal is to provide a roadmap and deliver a program for junior golfers that are wanting to take their game to the next level. Whether the next level is achieving a GA handicap or starting to play in competitive junior events, our program will guide your junior down the right path.
There are a number of factors to consider when we think about junior golf development, especially if we are working towards our juniors competing competitively. Some of these factors include, technical development of the full swing, wedge game, scrambling and putting. As our juniors continue to develop, skill acquisition, mental game, pre shot routines, practice plans, tournament preparation and skill testing become an extremely important piece of the puzzle. Each junior will be met at their current level and the plan that we put in place will be specific to each junior golfer.
The program operates primarily in the Train Phase which means that the program is suitable to any junior that has got to the level of playing a minimum of 6 holes on the golf course. Our juniors go through testing twice per year. This testing gives us evidence based data that we use to monitor progress as well as adjust the juniors roadmap should the need arise. We take a holistic approach to our juniors development and we will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of developing our junior golfers into the best that they can be.
The program will run on the following days and times: (times are allocated on a first come first served basis)
- Sunday – 10:30 to 11:30 or 11:30 to 12:30 or 12:30 to 1:30 or 1:30 to 2:30 (All Sunday times are fully booked)
- Tuesday – 3:45 to 4:45 or 4:45 to 5:45
