All financial Members over the age of 18 years in a playing membership category are provided with a House Account as part of their Membership.

Effective 1 July 2024, Members will be required to enter into a direct debit agreement and provide either a credit/debit card or bank account details in order to be enable charge back facilities to their House Account.

Members wishing to charge purchases back to their House Account after 1 July 2024 must submit an Ezidebit Direct Debit Request form with the Finance Team. Members are requested to submit their form by 21 June to ensure that the direct debit is established prior to 1 July and avoid any disruption to their charge back facilities. Completed forms can be emailed to accounts@igcgolf.com.au or handed into Reception, Monday – Friday, between 9am and 5pm.

Members will still need to present their membership card (physical or digital) to access member pricing in the hospitality outlets and golf shop, regardless of payment method.

Once your Direct Debit is established charges made to your House Account during the course of a month will be debited against your nominated card/bank account on the 16th of the following month. Where the 16th falls on a weekend or public holiday the charges will be debited on the first business day following. E.g. purchases charged back to your house accounts in June will be debited on Tuesday 16 July.

Entrance Fee instalments and Subscription fees will not be included in your monthly direct debit unless you give specific written authority. This authority needs to be renewed each time there is a new Entrance Fee instalment or Subscription fee charge.

FAQs

What if I do not enter into a direct debit agreement?

If you elect not to enter into a direct debit agreement you will not be able to charge purchases back to your Member House Account. All purchase will need to be paid via EFTPOS or credit card at the time of purchase. You will receive your statement each month for any competition fee and member event charges. These charges must be paid within 30 days of the of the statement date.

Can I still ‘pre-pay’ and put credit on my House Account?

You can elect to ‘pre-pay’ and put credit on your account which will then be drawn down on for purchases. Once the credit runs out you will no longer be able to charge back to your account until more credit is added.

How will I know how much will be debited each month?

You will still receive an itemised account statement each month, prior to the direct debit date. You can also view your account balance and current transactions at any time on the Members’ area of the website under ‘My Information’ or on the IGC Member App under My Information & Accounts. The total balance of charges made to your House Account during the course of a month will be debited against your nominated card/bank account on the 16th of the following month.

What if I make a payment prior to the direct debit?

The direct debit will only process any outstanding balances from the prior month. If you make a payment prior to the 16th this will be offset against the outstanding balance and the amount debited will be adjusted accordingly.

Can I still place orders for Grab & Go online via the App without a Direct Debit?

The IGC App Grab & Go ordering system does not have the functionality to process payment or mark an order for payment upon pickup. As such you will either need to enter into a direct debit arrangement or ‘pre-pay’ and put credit on your account which will then be drawn down on for purchases.

What happens if my direct debit fails and I don’t pay my account?

If your direct debits fail you will be notified in writing by the Club. You will then need to make payment of the outstanding balance prior to the end of the month in order to maintain a financial membership. Should your direct debit fail three consecutive times your direct debit agreement will be terminated and your charge back facilities withdrawn.

Members who fail to pay their account within 30 days of it becoming payable may have their membership suspended by the Board, under section 8.7 of the Club’s Constitution.

Members who receive three suspensions within a 12-month period for unpaid accounts (House, Subscription or Entrance Fee) will have their House Account Limits and charge back facilities automatically removed on the third suspension. Refer to the Club’s House Account Policy for further details.

Why aren’t Subscription fees automatically included in my monthly direct debit?

Given the typical high value of ‘Subscription’ fees (includes Subscriptions, Levies and Storage fees) and the length of time between charges (usually annually) we will not include Subscription fees in your ongoing monthly direct debit. You can however send through written authority to include these charges in your next monthly direct debit when they are charged to your account.
